This Brief History of Npower – Npower Nigeria has provided an opportunity for skills and knowledge that are the driving forces for economic growth and social development. Despite the current high level of unemployment, harnessing Nigeria’s young population through appropriate skills development efforts offers an opportunity to achieve inclusion and productivity within the country. Premium skill development is the main policy thrust of the N-Power programme
Npower is also related to the policies of the Federal Government in the areas of economic, employment and social development. N-Power addresses the challenge of youth unemployment by providing a framework for the acquisition of broad-based and relevant work skills and development with linking its essence and results to reforming inadequate public services and stimulating the larger economy.
The modular programs under the N-Power will ensure that each participant learns and practices most of what is necessary to find or create work. N-Power Volunteer Corp includes a massive deployment of 500,000 trained alumni who will help improve inefficiencies in our public education, health, and civil services. Some of these graduates will also help realize Nigeria’s economic and strategic aspirations for food security and self-sufficiency.
