SSS1, SSS2 Students Barred from A Sitting External WASSCE, NECO, NABTEB, — FG: Gives Important Reason

Nigeria Federal Government has banned students in Senior Secondary School 1 and 2 from partaking in external West African Senior School Certificate Examination(WASSCE); the National Examination Council, (NEC); and National Business and Technical Examinations Board, (NABTEB).
This changes was contained in a memo issued to administrators of federal unity schools by the Federal Ministry of Education.
The memo was endorsed by Hajia Binta Abdulkadir, the ministry’s Director, Senior Secondary Education, and corroborated by Ben Bem Goong, the Director of Press and Public Relations, on Friday.
In parts, the memo reads, ‘It has been brought to the ministry’s consciousness, the flagrant disrespect to its mandate on the sitting of external examinations like NABTEB, NTC and NBC; West Arica Senior Secondry Certificate Examination and NECO (SSCE) by SS one and SS two saudents.
‘Candidates who are into the exercise find it impossible to settle down on thorough studies.such student become rebellious and distract other candidates from attaining their objectives.
‘A candidate found to have sat any of the metioned examinations above in SS1 or SS2 classes will be dismissed from the school. Every candidate must sit these examinations after they have been duly registered for the examination by the school.
‘Every candidate of Federal Unity College should hold rigidly to the content of this memo. School administrators are also urged to let the content of this memo to the understanding of all parents of the students in the school.’
