Lagos: Anti-Open Grazing Bill Signed Into Law

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has joined the Enugu state in signing into law, the state anti-open grazing bill which forbids the open pasturing of animals in the state.
Sanwo-Olu signed the bill into law on Monday, September, 20th, 2021 during the State Executive Council meeting.
Sanwo-Olu who authorized security agencies to commence prompt implementation said, ‘As the Governor of Lagos state and by the powers vested in me as same, I am ratifying the bill on Open Cattle Grazing and Trespass of Cattle on Land into law to ban matters linked with open grazing of livestock.’
Recalled that the bill had earlier been considered and passed 3rd reading by state House of Assembly before conveying it to the Governor for his assent.
