JUST IN: Kano State Governor Appoints New Emire.

 Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the executive Governor of Kano State had in the wee hours of Sunday appointed Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim-Gaya as the current emir of Gaya. Ibrahim-Gaya took over his late father, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulkadir.

Recall that Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulkadir died last week after protracted health issues at the age of 91 years and was immediately buried according to Islamic rites in kano.
