COVID-19: FG deploys New Measures On Foreign Travellers

President Buhari-led government has eased restrictions on international travellers without proof of payment for their COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction, PCR test.

Recall that international travellers were formerly expected to show evidence of payment for their COVID-19 PCR test before they were allowed to fly any airline.

However, in a circular dated 11 September 2021, Musa Nuhu, the DG of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, authorized international airlines to fly passengers without proof of payment for the 7th day COVID-19 PCR test or generate paid QR code/license to fly.

Musa Nuhu, the NCAA boss, however, announced that such travellers would be expected to make payment for the repeat day-7 COVID-19 PCR test at their terminal terminals u the airport in Nigeria.
