BREAKING: Sexual Molestation — OAU expels English lecturer

Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Governing Council has expelled a lecturer from the Faculty of Art, Department of English Language, Dr Adebayo Mosobalaje, who was found culpable of sexual misconduct against one of his female students.
The development was made known in a statement by the university’s PRO, Abiodun Olarewaju, tagged: Sexual harassment — OAU dismisses another lecturer.
The message states, ‘heeding to its unflinching resolution to free the University of any sort of sexual coercion, oppression and, or intimidation, the Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has expelled another lecturer who was found culpable of sexual misconduct against a female student of the institution.
‘This resolve to relieve Dr Adebayo Mosobalaje of his job was held by the University Council at its last meeting on Tuesday, 7th, September 2021.
‘Upon the comprehensive review on the findings of the Joint Committee of Council and Senate, which interrogated Mosobalaje’s case of sexual harassment which was brought against him, the University Council, with all clarity, announced its zero leniencies with sexual harassment in any aspect or posture and, therefore, deploy the applicable University penalties for such an offence as enshrined in the University regulation.’
