SOUTH AFRICANS WORRIED OVER UNENDING SURGE OF COVID-19 THIRD WAVE

Majority of South Africans had anticipated the end of the third wave of covid-19 by mid-August but it seems as if the reverse would be the case

Covid-19 third wave was at its zenith sometime in July. Consequently,  South Africa proceeded to lockdown alert phase 4 to prevent the turn of infections.

No doubt, the attempts recorded success as the numbers of infections dropped towards the last days of July, leading President Cyril Ramaphosa and the entire parliament to agree on stepping the lockdown phase to alert phase 3.

Nevertheless, the most tragic news as of this Saturday morning is that the current covid-19 figures indicate another rise in the number of infections and this could amount to a longer third wave.

Should the third wave lingers, that implies that many people are yet to die or get infected with the virus before the arrival of the 4th wave.

Department of Health revealed the recent covid-19 figure and the numbers are increasingly alarming since the 3rd phase of the lockdown.

Do you feel that the 3rd wave might cease soon or more lives would still be lost as the 3rd wave lasts?  What is your opinion on this matter?
