CYBERCRIME: EFCC Arrested Young Lady Over Sale Of Social Media Account.

In line with current reports, a young girl named Precious Iwuji, alleged to have sold out her Facebook page to cyber fraudsters has been nabbed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission  ( EFCC) in Sabo Area of Kaduna State and would be arraigned in court with other apprehended fraudsters. 

The only crime Precious committed was merchandising her Facebook account to internet fraudsters. To some, her arrest may appear outrageous but by law, she’s an associate of the crime. The motive of the buyers may or may not be known to Precious, but her arrest is to send a note of warning to the netizens who involve themselves in account trading.

By this occurrence, people should be advised not to have anything doing directly in a crime that would warrant the law to hunt them. A person who sells his/her social media handle to cybercriminals is invariably a fraudster and would be dealt with by the law.
