COURT WATCHED DRAMA AS JUDGE ORDERS WIFE SEEKING DIVORCE TO HUG HUSBAND IN COURT

A Sharia Court sitting in the Magajin Gari area of Kaduna State on Tuesday witnessed a peaceful drama when the court ordered a man, Yusuf Maiwada, to hug his wife, Nafisa Jibril in court.

Nuhu Falalu, the Judge, said the absence of affection from Maiwada provoked his wife to file for a divorce.

He also instructed him to give his wife money in court.

‘This honourable court orders you to take her and your three children back to your house and pay upfront, for their feeding and upkeep,’ he said.

The case was adjourned until 9 Sept., for a report of settlement and obedience to the court orders by the respondent.

Initially, Nafisa, the complainant in her petition wanted a divorce because he has neglected to provide for the family.

She also claimed that Maiwada assaults her and sent her out of his house and together with their children.
