Catholic Priest – Alcohol, Wet dream, women Trousers, And others not sin, tithe not receipt to heaven

Reverend Fr Kelvin Ugwu, a Roman Catholic Priest from Nigerian serving in Malawi has disputed some ministers on the contentious ideologies concerning the intake of intoxicating liquors, the use of trousers by women, nighttime discharge, tithing among others.

Many Nigerian preachers have often taught against the intake of alcohol, the use of trousers by women and the incapability to meet up with the demands of tithes.

Prominent ministries such as the famous Deeper Life Bible Church prohibited women worshippers from the use of trousers, labelling defaulters as evildoers.

Likewise, many fortunes evangelizing preachers in the country have associated poverty within members in the church with their failure to give their tithes and donations.

Nonetheless, in a column on his confirmed Facebook page, the Catholic cleric condemned those ideologies and teachings, noting that tithe is not an assurance for earning heaven.

Consumption of liquor is not a sin either.

‘Defaulting in remitting tithe will not make you go to hell.

Remitting tithe is not a receipt to entring heaven either.

‘The cats and wall geckos at your windows have absolutely nothing to do with people from your village.

‘Praying in tongues is not for all persons and it’s not learnt; neither can it be forged.
