24hours After Husband’s Death, Bandits Abducted His Widow
The widow of one late Alhaji Rabe Bello Kofa, the former head of Kofa village in Kusada Local Government Area of Katsina State has been kidnapped by Bandit.
According to a villager who spoke in confidentiality, informed reporters that the bandits invaded the village in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
They went directly to the village head’s house, who died on Tuesday, and kidnapped some members of the grieving family, his widow inclusive, he said.
‘Bello, the village head of Kofa, who was an older brother to a past Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, passed away on Tuesday and was on the same day lay to rest in according to Islamic burial rites.’
‘It is disheartening, some armed men entered the house and kidnapped about five family members including the wife of the late village head, but freed four afterwards while holding on to the widow in captivity. She is still the captors as we speak,’ he said.
The Katsina state police spokesperson, SP Gambo Isah, said he would find out from the DPO of the area and revert When contacted.
