So we began to check dictionary for what could 10 babies born at a time by one pregnant woman be called as it is just the first of it kind.

 “Africa is the mother  of humanity”, this is once again proven as 37-year-old pregnant woman, Gosiame Thamara Sithole gave birth to Decuplets ( 10 babies). This broke  the Guinness World Record that was  held by Mrs Halima Cissé, a Malian who gave birth to Nonuplets (9 children at a time) in Morocco last month.

According to the husband, they were surprised by decuplets (10 babies) as scans only showed octuplets (eight children) in the womb.

“It’s seven boys and three girls. I feel happy. I can’t talk much,” her husband Teboho Tsotetsi told news men.

Multiple births having more than 3 babies are very  rare and are said to be as a result of  fertility treatments. However, in the case of this decuplets, the husband of the woman said her wife conceived naturally.

The couple  previously gave birth to twins, who are already  six years old.

When she was initially told that she was carrying 8 children, question of, “How would they fit in the womb? Would they survive?” arised in her mind. Gazing through her countenance, the doctor understood her worries and she reassured her that her womb was expanding gradually and all would be well.

When it was initially discovered that mrs SITHOLE  was pregnant of eight foetuses, she was suffering leg pains. Doctors said that two of the discovered eight were in the wrong tube.

According to the family, the pains and the two in  wrong tube was sorted and she been okay since then. 

Sithole said he is very happy and feeling like he is  over the moon. He further said he feels like  “one of God’s chosen children. It’s a miracle which I appreciate“. Said Sithole, the husband.
