19 pass on, 34 harmed in Kaduna-Abuja fresh crash

Not less than 19 passengers have kicked the bucket (died) and 34 others seriously harmed in a car collision on the Kaduna-Abuja Highway. 

The accident happened on Sunday in the Kateri territory of the Abuja to Kaduna Express way . 

Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Samuel Aruwan said the mishap happened when the tire of a speeding DAF trailer bursted. 

“Security organizations have sxplained that 19 persons  kicked the bucket in a shocking car accident at the Kateri area of the Kaduna-Abuja expressway on Sunday,” Aruwan said. 

“As indicated by the report, the accident, which happened late on Sunday evening, included a business DAF trailer and was brought about by a mix of speeding, and a damaged tire, prompting a deficiency of control, which made the vehicle veer into the bramble. 

“In the sad event a sum of 53 individuals were involved  in the accident; 16 of these kicked the bucket on the spot, with three others later affirmed dead. hirty-four (34) got injuries which are bruises and cuts to dislocations and head injuries. They were taken from the scene of the accident by personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps of Nigeria.

“The survivors are getting treatment in clinic.”
